Frank is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and innovation management. He has a degree in Industrial Engineering and held several leadership roles at the European Space Agency (ESA). As the former Head of Innovation and Ventures Office at ESA, Frank and his team initiated over 370 industry transfers and supported more than 1,200 start-ups with both upstream and downstream business cases. Prior to this role, Frank served as the Head of Technology Transfer and Business Incubation and Head of Commercial Development in the European Astronaut Department of the Directorate of Human Spaceflight Microgravity and Exploration. Before joining ESA, Frank was the founder and COO/CFO of an IT start-up based in Munich, Germany, which later merged with CANCOM SA. Frank also spent seven years at Apple, where he served as an account and sales manager responsible for Central Europe. Today, Frank serves as the Managing Director of the Space section at the Saudi Space Commission.
