Catriona has spent the majority of her career at SpaceX. After finishing her degree in Engineering at Oxford and Princeton Universities, and a short stint in the Oil and Gas industry, Catriona joined the small SpaceX avionics team in 2005 before the first Falcon 1 launch. Catriona stayed with the company until 2021, contributing to every major achievement and vehicle. Catriona has held technical and leadership roles in the avionics department of SpaceX and was responsible for major architectural designs and decisions on the rockets and space capsules. Catriona’s latest project at SpaceX was Director of Starship Avionics which saw multiple rocket launches and landings of the new prototype vehicle. Managing a team of 90, Catriona is experienced in building talented engineering teams and setting strategic and direction for technical teams.
